Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  2. Mix all-purpose flour with paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Coat each piece of chicken thoroughly in the spice flour mix.
  5. Fry the coated chicken thighs until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes per side.
  6. Drain the cooked chicken on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  7. Assemble the sandwich with crispy chicken, lettuce, pickles, and hot sauce on the bottom half of a burger bun.
  8. Serve with the top half of the bun and enjoy!

Notes

For the best flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. Fry in small batches for a crispier texture.
