A comforting and budget-friendly casserole featuring layers of ground beef, creamy mushroom soup, and cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 onion, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sauté the ground beef and onion over medium heat; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Layer the sliced potatoes in a baking dish.
  4. Combine the cream of mushroom soup with the milk in a bowl; pour over the potatoes.
  5. Add the beef mixture on top of the soup-covered potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  8. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat as needed.
