A rich and flavorful homemade sauce perfect for ravioli or any pasta dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, adding the dried basil and oregano.
  4. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve your sauce hot over cooked ravioli, garnished with Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Leftover sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat gently on the stove.
