Tender meatballs laced with creamy ricotta, simmered in rich marinara sauce for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 pound ground beef or pork
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Pasta or subs for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix the ricotta cheese, ground meat, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat marinara sauce over medium heat in a large skillet.
  4. Simmer the meatballs in the sauce, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes until they are cooked through.
  5. Serve the ricotta meatballs over pasta or in subs, topped with extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, sauté garlic in olive oil before adding to the mixture. Can substitute ricotta with dairy-free cheese. Adjust breadcrumbs for consistency.
