Deliciously moist and flavorful meatballs made with ricotta and beef, simmered in marinara sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Pasta or toasted rolls for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl: ricotta, ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, rolling gently.
  3. Heat marinara sauce in a large skillet over medium heat until warm and fragrant.
  4. Simmer meatballs in the sauce for about 20 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through.
  5. Serve the meatballs over pasta or in toasted rolls, garnished with marinara sauce.

Notes

For extra flavor, mix in fresh herbs or red pepper flakes. You can substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
