A nostalgic cake that combines rich chocolate, sweet root beer, and creamy ice cream, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup root beer
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup root beer float ice cream (or vanilla ice cream)
  • 1 cup whipped cream for topping
  • 1/4 cup root beer for drizzle

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix the chocolate cake mix, root beer, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool the cake completely.
  6. Top the cooled cake with scoops of root beer float ice cream and whipped cream.
  7. Drizzle with additional root beer before serving.

Notes

Serve immediately after topping to prevent melting, and consider pairing with extra root beer float ice cream.
