  • 1 (2-3 pound) tri-tip roast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to high heat.
  2. Mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Rub the tri-tip roast generously with olive oil.
  4. Coat the tri-tip with the spice mixture on all sides.
  5. Place the tri-tip on the grill, searing each side for about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Reduce the heat and continue cooking for an additional 20-30 minutes.
  7. Remove the tri-tip from the grill and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Slice against the grain and garnish with fresh parsley.
