  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Cook the shrimp, seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the orzo and broth, bringing to a boil.
  6. Simmer until the orzo is cooked, about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Combine the shrimp back into the skillet along with lemon juice and zest.
  8. Stir to combine and gently heat through.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
