A savory and tender beef and broccoli dish made in a slow cooker that’s rich in flavor and comfort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 pounds boneless beef chuck roast, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 heads broccoli, cut into florets

Instructions

  1. Whisk the beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and minced garlic in a medium bowl until well combined.
  2. Place the thinly sliced beef into a 6-qt slow cooker. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and gently toss to ensure the meat is thoroughly coated.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and set it on low heat for 90 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of water and the cornstarch until smooth.
  5. Stir in the cornstarch mixture and broccoli florets into the slow cooker after 90 minutes. Cover and increase the heat to high for an additional 30 minutes.
  6. Serve immediately over rice or noodles, enjoying your delicious creation!

Notes

Slicing the beef against the grain ensures maximum tenderness. Add bell peppers or snap peas for extra texture. For a spicy kick, consider crushed red pepper flakes or sriracha.
