Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 lbs beef pot roast
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 carrots, cut into chunks
  • 4 potatoes, cut into chunks
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Sear the Beef: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef pot roast on all sides until it’s beautifully browned.
  2. Layer the Vegetables: In a slow cooker, place the chopped onion, carrots, and potatoes at the bottom.
  3. Add the Beef: Carefully add the seared beef on top of the vegetables.
  4. Mix the Gravy: In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, minced garlic, beef broth, black pepper, and salt. Pour this mixture over the beef.
  5. Slow Cook to Perfection: Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  6. Serve Hot: Once done, remove the beef and vegetables, slice the beef and serve hot.

Notes

Don’t skip the searing step to lock in flavors. For added heat, consider adding chili flakes or gochujang.
