Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast (about 2.25 teaspoons)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (Halal-certified)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • Additional melted butter (for brushing, optional)

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk in a small saucepan or microwave until it’s warm to the touch (about 110°F or 43°C).
  2. Combine the flour, instant yeast, granulated sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix the warm milk, melted butter, and beaten eggs in a separate bowl.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until a soft dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  7. Punch down the dough, divide it into 12 pieces, and shape into balls.
  8. Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  9. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) while the rolls are rising.
  10. Brush the tops with melted butter and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
