  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the sliced peaches and 1/2 cup of sugar in a bowl, mixing gently.
  3. Mix together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Stir in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Spoon the peach mixture over the batter (do not stir).
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
