  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup jalapeños, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or pepper jack)
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Ketchup for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, diced jalapeños, shredded cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
  4. If desired, spread a layer of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 1 hour, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
