Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For sauce:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • For serving:
  • Steamed rice
  • Vegetables or salad

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, green onion, garlic, egg, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, optional sriracha, and salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about the size of a golf ball, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, until cooked through and golden brown.
  5. Simmer the sauce by combining soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil in a small saucepan until thickened.
  6. Toss the baked meatballs in the sauce.
  7. Serve the meatballs over steamed rice or with salad.

Notes

These meatballs can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for 2 months.
