An addictive blend of sweetness and spice transforms cauliflower into a star dish, perfect for gatherings or a healthy meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • Cooking oil spray
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp gluten-free flour or cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Take your large head of cauliflower and cut it into small, even-sized florets. Lightly spray them with cooking oil and season with garlic salt, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the seasoned cauliflower florets on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, sriracha, and hoisin sauce. Stir gently as it heats.
  5. Mix the cornstarch with a tablespoon of water to form a slurry. Whisk it into your sauce and allow to simmer for 2–3 minutes until it thickens.
  6. Once the cauliflower is out of the oven, carefully toss the baked florets in the thickened sauce until well-coated.
  7. Return the sauced cauliflower back to the oven for another 5 minutes to set the glaze.
  8. Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

For extra crunch, sprinkle the cauliflower with a mix of breadcrumbs and nutritional yeast before baking. Adjust sriracha to taste for desired spiciness.
