A delicious plate of crispy fries topped with seasoned beef, gooey cheese, and fresh toppings, perfect for game day or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Frozen French fries
  • Ground beef
  • Taco seasoning
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Sour cream
  • Green onions, chopped
  • Jalapeños (optional)
  • Olives (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature indicated on the French fry package. Spread the frozen fries on a baking sheet in a single layer and cook until golden and crispy, usually around 20 minutes.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until it’s browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning with a splash of water and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Remove the fries from the oven and layer them evenly on the baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle the seasoned beef mixture over the fries.
  6. Generously sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beefy fries and return them to the oven for about 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  7. Add dollops of sour cream, garnish with green onions, and sprinkle on jalapeños and olives if desired.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Spread out fries in a single layer for even cooking. Drain excess fat from beef to avoid a greasy dish. Experiment with different cheeses or toppings.
