Delicious grilled shrimp infused with garlic and lemon, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Give it a good stir until all the ingredients are well blended.
  2. Marinate the Shrimp: Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and let it marinate in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill over medium heat. If you’re using wooden skewers, soak them in water to prevent burning.
  4. Skewer the Shrimp: After marinating, thread each shrimp onto the skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer.
  5. Grill the Shrimp: Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and are slightly charred.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove skewers from the grill, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with lemon or lime wedges.

Notes

For extra smoky flavor, consider adding soaked wood chips to your grill.
