  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Water (as needed for consistency)
  • Crushed peanuts (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges (for garnish)
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Mixing the base: In a medium bowl, combine peanut butter, soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and garlic.
  3. Adjusting the consistency by adding water, whisking until you achieve your desired thickness.
  4. Adding heat by mixing in crushed red pepper flakes to taste.
  5. Transfer the sauce to a storage container if not using immediately.
  6. Garnishing & serving: Drizzle with crushed peanuts, lime juice, and top with cilantro.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week. Stir well before using and add water if needed to loosen.
