A nostalgic and decadent Vanilla Bread Pudding made with sweet Hawaiian rolls and a creamy custard.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 Hawaiian rolls
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Take the Hawaiian rolls and tear them into bite-sized pieces. Place them in a greased baking dish.
  3. Whisk together the milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs in a mixing bowl.
  4. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the rolls.
  5. Let the dish sit for 15 minutes to absorb the custard.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and just set.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving warm, drizzled with caramel sauce or dusted with powdered sugar.

Notes

Use day-old rolls for better absorption. Experiment with flavors by adding cinnamon, nutmeg, or chocolate chips.
